General Flight Rules
Flight Criteria
A pilot may operate a microlight aircraft only:
- by day; and
- in VFR meteorological conditions.
A microlight must not be operated:
- over a congested area of a city, town or settlement; or
- in controlled airspace, or within 3 NM (5.5 km) of an aerodrome certificated under Part 139, unless the pilot:
- has passed the Air Law examination; or
- is operating under the direct supervision of a microlight pilot instructor.
