Take-off Distance
There are a few considerations that would increase the take-off distance in an aircraft.
- Using a runway with long, wet thick grass compared to a dry smooth sealed runway.
- Having the nose too high creating too much drag for flight which in turn can cause the dragging of the tail wheel along the ground
- Tailwind or crosswinds compared to a headwind
- A higher Take-off weight
- Lack of power
- Starting the take-off roll with low RRPM
