14.108 Weight and Loading
14.108.2 Given loading data/graphs for a typical light piston-engine helicopter, demonstrate an ability to calculate helicopter gross weight and C of G position on take-off and landing.
To calculate helicopter loading, use a weight and balance table.
Step 1: List all items
Include:
- Basic empty helicopter weight
- Pilot
- Passengers
- Baggage/cargo
- Fuel
Step 2: Record each weight and arm
For each item, note:
- Weight
- Arm from the datum
