Turning

Develop a thorough scanning technique from side to side and both up and down before turning.

Maintain a good lookout for other aircraft.

After Landing

Due to the fact that the pilot in command in a fixed wing aircraft is in the left hand seat, after landing it is recommended to turn to the left so the pilot can see any aircraft on final and allow it to land to the right.

With other aircraft where the pilot in command is in the right hand seat or in a tandem configuration, pilots can use their discretion for a safe vacate of the runway.
