Equipment Inspection Periods

| Radio station | 24 months |
| Altimeter system | 24 months |
| SSR transponder | 24 months |
| ELT / AELS | 12 months |
For an ELT or AELS:
- it must be tested and inspected within the previous 12 months;
- it must also be inspected at the aircraft manufacturer’s 100-hour inspection or equivalent, if that occurs earlier; and
- the battery must be replaced in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions when its life has expired.
