14.64 Descending Flight

14.64.2 State how changes in airspeed influence angle of descent (constant power/zero wind).

  • Increasing airspeed:
    • Increases drag
    • Results in a steeper angle of descent
  • Decreasing airspeed:
    • Reduces drag (up to a point)
    • Results in a shallower angle of descent
