Calculate Heading and Groundspeed

To find Heading and Groundspeed, you will need:

  • Wind Velocity (W/V)
  • Track (Tr), and
  • True Airspeed (TAS)

 

 

W/V   360°T/30kts

Tr       146°T

TAS    120kts

 

  • Set wind direction under index                    (360°T)

  • Put the grommet over 100

  • Mark the wind speed up on the scale         (30kts)
