14.74 Tail Rotor Systems
14.74.2 Describe the basic features of the tail rotor.
- A small rotor mounted on the tail (usually vertical)
- Driven by the main gearbox via a driveshaft and tail rotor gearbox
- Produces sideways thrust to counter main rotor torque
