4.24.2 State the minimum instrument requirements for a day VFR flight. CAR Part 91
91.509 Minimum instruments and equipment
A powered aircraft with an airworthiness certificate must have the required instruments and equipment fitted before flight.
This rule does not apply to powered gliders.
Required flight instruments
The aircraft must have a way of indicating:
airspeed
Mach number, if the aircraft’s speed limitation is given as a Mach number
altitude in feet
magnetic heading
Required fuel and engine instruments
The aircraft must have a way of indicating:
fuel quantity in each main fuel tank
engine RPM for each engine
oil pressure for each engine with a pressure lubrication system
coolant temperature for each liquid-cooled engine
oil temperature for each engine over 250 brake horsepower with a pressure lubrication system
