4.20.2 State the documents which must be carried in aircraft operated in New Zealand. CAR Part 91

91.111 Documents to be carried

Except as provided in Parts 103, 104, and 106, a person must not operate an aircraft unless the required documents are carried in the aircraft.

 

Documents required for all applicable aircraft

The aircraft must carry:

  • the current airworthiness certificate, or a certified copy of it, unless rule 91.101(c) applies;

    • Rule 91.101(c) is the exception for aircraft operating without a current airworthiness certificate under specified permit-to-fly or special authorisation conditions.

  • the aircraft flight manual, or an equivalent document acceptable to the Director.

 

Additional documents for New Zealand registered aircraft

A New Zealand registered aircraft must also carry:

  • the technical log required under rule 91.619, unless an approved alternative system is used by an air operator to inform the pilot of the aircraft’s maintenance status;
