Instructor » Flight Training » Crosswind Take-off
AIM:
To compensate for drift and take the aircraft off the ground
CONSIDERATIONS:
Weathercocking
YAW
- During a crosswind take-off, there will exist a side force on the keel surface of the aircraft,
- As this keel surface is behind the centre of gravity of the aircraft,
- The tendency will be for the aircraft to yaw into the wind.
