Restricted Areas

• Designated portion's of airspace to restrict the activities of aircraft within that area.

• Aircraft may only enter an active restricted area with the prior approval of the designated administering authority.

• Restricted areas are depicted on charts with the designation R (3 digit number).

Danger Area

• Established to warn pilots of an area where danger may be present.
